Marla Shapiro,
MD, C.M., MDCM, CCFP, MHSC, FRCPC, FCFP, NCMP
Dr. Shapiro is a Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. She completed medical school at McGill University and trained at the University of Toronto for her Masters of Health Science. She concluded her specialty training in Community Medicine, receiving her Fellowship in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is also the medical consultant on CTV’s National News and appears on special assignment for W5.
Vivien Brown,
MD, CM, CCFP, FCFP, NCMP
Dr. Brown is a family physician, international and national speaker and author on health prevention, wellness, continuing medical education, and women’s health.
Dr. Brown is active in numerous organizations including as Vice President, North American for the Medical Women International Association, Past President of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada, Former Chair of the Consumer Education Committee for the North American Menopause Society, board member of the Women’s Brian Health Initiative, and Health Choices First, as well as numerous provincial and federal advisory bodies. Dr. Brown has also received the NAMS Media Award for Women’s Health.
Dr. Brown’s speaking engagements focus on reducing cancer risks and prevention, adult immunization and vaccine-preventable disease, stress in the workplace and stress management, health promotion and healthy aging, osteoporosis prevention, menopause, and health hormonal alternatives, and women and health.
